Why Choose Whole Foods? Benefits for Your Family’s Health
Discover the benefits of whole foods for your family’s health. A simple guide for moms who want to nourish their family with clean, natural foods.
FAQ
We understand that navigating the journey of motherhood and maintaining a healthy family lifestyle can bring up many questions. To assist you, we've compiled answers to some of the most frequently asked questions from our community of health-conscious moms.
-
The best way is to lead by example! Make healthy eating a normal part of your daily life. Start introducing nutrient rich, organic, and flavorful foods from an early age. Involve your toddlers in cooking and make family mealtime a priority. Avoid packaged snacks as much as possible, especially when close to mealtime!
-
Make sure you take time for YOU! We know this is easier said than done but remember, taking care of yourself enables you to take better care of your family. Identify what is that makes you feel and operate at your best - whether that’s waking up before the kids to work out, incorporating walks into your routine, or taking a few moments each day to unwind or simply catch your breath. For family walks, Victoria recommends adding a weighted vest for added impact. For those working out at home, Nathalia suggests letting your toddler participate so they can learn from an early age that this is important to you. Above all, communication is key. Let all family members know what’s important to you so they can support you as well.
-
Establishing consistent meal times, bedtimes, and designated periods for homework and play can create a sense of stability. Try your best to maintain a schedule that works for your family while accepting that not every day will be “perfect”. Flexibility is important, but a predictable routine helps children feel secure and supports overall well-being.

The best way to minimize picky eating is to start young.
Offer a variety of healthy and flavorful foods from a young age. Don’t over pressure toddlers to eat new food and don’t assume they don’t like something after the first try. Children often need to be offered foods several times before they take to them, especially toddlers who change their minds daily. So stick with! Involving kids in grocery shopping and cooking can pique their interest in trying new foods. -
Create an environment where family members feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings. Incorporate “Mama/Dada” chats with toddlers at bedtime to check in on the day. Avoid generic questions like “how was your day” and rather focus on specifics like “what made you laugh today?” or “tell me something you learned today?” For older kids, regular family meetings or one-on-one time with each child can strengthen relationships and encourage open dialogue. And - no phones at the table - this goes for parents too!
